The Eagle House Hotel - Launceston

We were in a handy location within walking distance of Priory.

The location was unbeatable and absolutely incredible, to everything in the town with easy access to a market and stores. We could also easily get to an English Heritage castle...

Pleasant hotel, our stay was wonderful.

Magnificent location and clean place, I loved welcoming staff. Neat and budget room with views over the lovely countryside was enjoyable. The food was appetising and there were plenty of dishes in the menu.

The fine terrace offers amazing panoramic views.

The room felt a bit cramped for the price we paid.

We recommend it.

Can recommend for a short stint

Comfortable bed, generous breakfast, with a amazing view from the rear terrace across the valley.

The eagle is great location right next to the castle. We appreciated the cozy ambiance of the lobby and the friendly staff who were eager to assist us.

The room was spacious with a modernized bathroom, and I loved enjoying my drink on the terrace while soaking in the countryside views. It was great to relax in the garden area with comfy seating and beautiful flowers. Just a heads up, the road noise was a bit noticeable, so maybe bring earplugs if you're sensitive to that. 😊

Great Views and Delicious Food!

We only stayed one night, but it felt cozy. The bar & restaurant serves some seriously good food-especially loved the house summer gin! Super nice staff, and the views out back are fine. Just wish the room was a bit more updated, but it was comfy enough!

Great service and character, but wi-fi was slow in our room.

The Eagle in Launceston had some charming moments but left me wanting more. The historical decor radiated a unique character. My room had spacious dimensions, perfect for relaxation. The bed felt comfortable, providing good support after a long day. Breakfast was a standout, especially the locally sourced sausages. They were delicious and perfectly cooked. The staff embodied friendliness and were eager to assist. The bathroom left much to be desired. It felt outdated, and the water pressure really fluctuated during my shower. I noticed the decor in my room could use a touch more personality. I also had some trouble with the lack of a secure doorlock. The noise from the road outside was quite noticeable, especially at night. Still, the fine views from the terrace offered a welcome escape, showcasing the countryside beautifully.

The staff were super friendly and helped me with my shower issue, my fault lol. Breakfast? Wow, loved the vegetarian sausages and the view was just beaut! It really is a lovely part of the world!

The room was a lil bare, could have used some more decor and the bathroom was a bit dated. The water pressure coulda been better.

The spacious classic double room was a good retreat with comfy bedding and fine views of the valley. Breakfast was a highlight, with delicious local butcher's sausages and perfectly poached eggs that exceeded my expectations.
